I just got a kindle a few days ago myself. I really am liking it and am reading it more than I ever read actual books. I got it for a few reasons: 1. I am addicted to tech, 2. most local bookstores shut down 2. I like having a lot of anything with me being books movies or music and this makes it easy.

@mimi6004 get a program called Calibre, It’s an ebook manager. You can put books in on one format and covert them to another. For the kindle you will want to convert whatever format you have (probably ePub) to Mobi which is one of the formats Kinle supports. It also reads PDF files that you can sync via Calibre. Hope this helps.

@TheThirdShift Only in the main menu and screensaver. Not on books, PDFs, browser, etc. Now the free 3g version is $139 with ads.

Hey du :) ich hab ein paar Fragen. Braucht man dafür eine Wi-Fi Verbindung oder irgendetwas anderes oder verbindet man das Kindle einfach mit dem Computer wenn man keine hat? Ich hab auch irgendwie noch nicht ganz verstanden wie man die Bücher von Amazon runterlädt. Muss man dann beim Bezahlen seine Kontonummer eingeben oder wie funktioniert das? Ich würde mich echt über eine Antwort freuen, denn ich glaube das wär eine richtig gute Investition für mich :) danke schon mal im voraus

@TheDaisieee Turn wifi off at home. That eats batteries. If you have wifi turned off, it lasts weeks and weeks.
