The HP dm1z (also called the 3115m in their business line) is an 11.6 inch mini-notebook that fits in on the high-end of the netbook class. Among the unique qualities of this device is a higher resolution display and an AMD Fusion processor with high-powered 3D graphics, which nets it the capability to play 1080p HD video, while still maintaining a 6-7 hour battery life. In this video, we’ll compare the dm1z to one of our favorite netbooks, the Asus 1011px, and demo the powerful graphics capabilities of the dm1z. Both devices are running the Ubuntu Linux-based ubermix, which you can learn more about at ubermix.org .

Also see the written review: www.ultrabookreview.com I finally get to play a bit more with the HP Folio 13 and this is the video review for this machine. The HP Folio 13 is one of the most popular ultrabooks available right now, mainly because it’s good looking, solid built, offer a good keyboard, decent screen and speakers and powerful hardware specs, all for less than 900 bucks. It has its downsides, like the noisy fans and the stiff trackpad, plus the heavier body, but all these kind of pale when looking at the bigger picture, especially since the Folio 13 also packs a bigger battery and will provide 7 hours of daily use. A review of the HP Pavillion G6 laptop from Hewlett Packard. This model is the 1200sa but I gave 8GB of DDR3 ram instead of the standard 4GB, here is the full specs: AMD E2 3000m 1.8GHz dual core Processor 6GB of DDR3 Ram 750GB 5400rpm Hitachi HDD ATI Radeon HD 6308g 1366×768, 16:9 15.6” screen In the video i showed the windows experience rating, here is the full rating: Base score: 5.1 Processor: 5.1 Memory (RAM): 7.2 Graphics: 5.3 Gaming graphics: 6.3 Primary hard disk: 5.9 The laptop came with Windows 7 Home Premium which obviously works well and I had no problem with it on this notebook. I think this laptop is fantastic for the price and it is a good balance of battery (7hr) and performance (crysis@45fps) The laptop cost me £379 direct from HP and the warranty is a pretty standard 1 yr that covers faults in the laptop, though I have not experienced any faults with this laptop yet and i will use it as my main laptop for audio recordings, music and research. I will also note that this laptop played 1080p youtubube quite smooth with the 4gb of ram but when i installed the 6gb of ram it was absolutely flawless.
